From the time you’re born, you are influenced by the people and things around you. Even in kindergarten, you soon learn that in order to ‘fit in’, you have to conform yourself to the atmosphere. It’s almost as if life knows what you can handle and what you can’t. It is a constant challenge to stick to what you know is right. And that is just part of growing up.

In conclusion, peer pressure, no matter what form it is in, truly is a crucible. It will be in every situation that involves people. We’re all human, and are less than perfect. However, we do have the power to say no, when yes seems to be the more popular answer. It doesn’t get easier the more you say it, but you soon learn that the benefits of sticking by your beliefs and standards are much better than the penalty.
